Katrina, please, if you have found treatments that work, share with us.
I am also looking for treatment from old silver stretchmarks. So far nothing really worked.
I want to try laser also- but my friend tried, said the stretchmarks became little less deep, but still there. I did not see how big and deep they were before, so I am not sure.
Admin, have you tried laser already????

I have a few keloid scars on my back and chest but the one that bothered me most is the one on my jawline. I have been getting steroid injections and have had success with it, the scar on my jaw is flatter and yeah its not gone but it looks so much better

I don’t have too many stretch marks but they pail in comparison to the huge keloid scar I have on my shoulder. Since my keloid scar is getting flatter thanks to the cortisone injections I have been getting and the weather is getting warmer, I really want to wear pretty tops with my shoulders showing and singlets etc. It is hard to find makeup to conceal the scar, I have been using dermablend and it does the job its just that I can’t find a color that matches seemlessly with my skin. I am about to buy my 4th shade of dermablend so hopefully I will have luck mixing up a color that matches lol!

I’ve had 3 knee surgeries, the first of which was in 2004 from a doctor who really didn’t know what he was doing. As a result, I got this huge scar on my knee with 13 little raised scars from the stitches, that I call my football laces. I’m Asian, so I get keloid scars and eventually I just stopped caring about it since I didn’t think there was anything I could do about it.

I had another surgery in 2006 where the doctor removed my old scar (still had the laces), and I again did nothing. My scar started out as thin and much prettier, but because I didn’t take care of it, it eventually spread because of the stretching of the skin while my knee bent.

Third surgery was in January of this year, the doctor removed my scar again and kept the laces, but this time, I’ve decided to take care of this scar.

I started using Strataderm 4 weeks ago and I already see a very noticeable difference! My raised laces have smoothed out and are starting to fade. I’m not kidding. The place where my drain was is healing well and the big scar itself is looking great. It’s not too red or scary, and it’s totally soft and looks like a “normal” scar. I can’t wait to see it in another month or two, the timeframe that Strataderm recommends.

I really recommend this product to anyone who has a new or an old scar. It really does what it promises.

I use dermablend – the body cover one on my thighs and it does a pretty good job. You just have to be careful to set it properly before you go and put your swim suit or clothes on so you don’t have it rub off on them

I have been taking MSM powder for over a year now and I see definite improvements in my skin. It just seems more translucent and plump. Almost like the skin appears younger. I don’t know if it is my imagination or what.

I might also mention that I stay away from alcohol and coffee because I noticed that my face would break out heaps the days following a big drinking session. It must be because the MSM flushes it out of your system or something.
