Skin Treatments for Face Creams

Cream For Skin

January 27th, 2010

In order to maintain our skin supple, soft, beautiful and healthy we need to use cosmetic creams. Along with knowing your skin type and what types of creams you should be using for your skin it is essential to know how to apply the creams correctly. All the different parts of our bodies require different attention and methods for applying the creams (whether its for moisturixing, reducing wrinkles or lifting the skin)

Let's take a look at how we should be applying our lotions and creams:

After taking a shower:

Always start applying moisturizing cream from your feet working your way up to your neck using circular motions.

Face Creams:

Any moisturizing, anti-aging or skin nourishing creams need to be applied with your flat hand using the palms of your hands, spreading the creams over your face covering the cheekbones, chin and your forehead.

Face Serums:

Apply face serums at least once a week as they are very important when it comes to sealing the skin hydrating benefits from the toner deep into your skin. Apply the serum after the toner and allow your skin to full absorb it before you add your moisturizer.

Eye Creams:

The skin around your eyes is super sensitive and it is essential that you take good care of it tomaintain it in a good condition. When you apply cream to this area always use your ring finger. When applying cream to your eyelida in oreder to avoid eyelid sagging it is essential to start from the bottom of your eye lid and move your way up until you reach your brow bone.

Apply moisturizing creams over your body to keep skin supple, smooth and preserve elasticity.

Neck and Chest Creams:

The neck and chest area of your body has poor sebaceous glands and not enough muscular support as the rest of your body so it need special care to avoid wrinkle rings around this neck and cheat part. Apply the same creams that you do for your face in this area. Use circular motions starting from the neck and moving your way up, never apply the cream using a horizontal motion. Try not to pull your chin down to stopsagging in this area of your body. If you have started to notice wrinkles forming in this part of your body, immediately start applying skin nourishing creams day and night to help keep skin toned and smooth.

Slimming Gels and Anti-Cellulite Creams:

Always apply these gels and creams following a hot shower. Work the cream into the skin in circular motions, let it dry for a few minutes before putting clothes on.

Body Oils:

Body oils are a superb way of keeping out skin elastic and soft and preventing dryness. After a shower apply some oil between your hands and rub it all over your body. use a clean towel to pat your skin dry and you will immediately notice how soft your skin is.

Anti Aging Products with Vitamin C

January 5th, 2010

Vitamin C is among the most popular skincare substances. All of the skin rejuvenation/anti- wrinkle products using vitamin C can be overwhelming. Will they work? Do their statements possess substance? Things are somewhat complex. On one side, vitamin C does have concrete, clinically validated benefits for wrinkle removal and skin rejuvenation. Over the other side, numerous vitamin C products fail.

Possibly, ascorbic acid will manage to benefit skin in two essential paths. First of all, vitamin C is crucial for the creation  of collagen, an integral architectural protein of your skin. Contributing vitamin C to a culture of skin cells(fibroblasts) significantly boosts the synthesis of collagen. Subsequently, vitamin C is an anti-oxidant allowing it to both help in reducing skin deterioration brought on by free radicals. Therefore, if vitamin C is correctly introduced into skin cells, there's an excellent possible opportunity to lessen wrinkles and enhance skin texture.

You will find, nonetheless, many complicating conditions frequently disregarded by manufacturing businesses. Foremost, vitamin C can be very volatile(save for it is in a dry version) . In the presence of air or even additional oxidizing agents, vitamin C is effortlessly transformed to oxidized modes. The oxidized ascorbic acid isn't just unable to enhancing collagen synthesis or scavenging free radicals but could basically encourage free radical development leading to damage to essential molecules like proteins and DNA. Within badly prepared or badly stored skin care products, ascorbic acid could already be oxidized by the time one apply it to your skin. Further, just really concentrated formulations(10% or more) convey sufficient vitamin C for the cells to be topically useful.

Several skin care companies provide fully concentrated stabilized ascorbic acid products, that (in theory) should be routinely effective. Still, these products tend to be very costly. In addition, even stabilized vitamin C items could be at any rate fairly oxidized by the time they are being used. If vitamin C oxidizes, it ultimately gets a yellowish hue suggesting an progressive phase of oxidation. Oddly enough, several manufacturers include coloring to their ascorbic acid goods, during which matter it gets difficult to observe progressed vitamin C oxidation. Whichever the reasons for adding colors could be, we suggest evading vitamin C goods which are not colorless or white. Regrettably, the lack of a hue doesn't, alone, ensure no oxidation since the primary product of vitamin C oxidation (dehydroascorbic acid) is colorless. Just additional oxidation creates a detectable golden tint. So, while choosing a vitamin C cream it is necessary to select a reliable supply and be aware concerning the expiration date and correct storage.

Should you be prepared to invest some additional moment, it is possible to effortlessly create a vitamin C gel or serum by yourself. Doing this you guarantee both freshness and potency- let alone significant price discounts.

If using an best formulation, not necessarily everybody will respond to vitamin C remedies. Around 50% of individuals demonstrate detectable benefits. The odds are enhanced if ascorbic acid is included a complete routine to reconstruct collagen in your skin. As well, those who don't answer regular ascorbic acid goods might respond to its derivatives, like magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbyl palmitate many others. Most vitamin C counterparts not just increase collagen synthesis but in addition tend to be stable and not as irritating.

Lastly, remember that having too much vitamin C ingested orally is of little or no benefit in lessening wrinkles as you just can't get a high enough concentration of it in the skin to boost collagen production.
