Make Up That Covers Stretch Marks

I am on a quest to rid myself of my stretch marks, however this appears to be a longer journey than I first anticipated so on the way I have decided to try some cover up methods.

I have been using Dermablend Coverage Cosmetics for many years. I have the body make up and the Dermablend High Coverage Cream which is essentially for the face but I find it works even better on the body in places like your hips and breasts. It is great for covering any type of discoloration, hyper pigmentation, freckles, scars and stretch marks. It will not alter the texture of the skin much, but it does make skin imperfections appear much less noticeable.

In all honesty this make up is not that great out in the light of day, it is quite noticeable that you have it caked on and if you go swimming even though they tell you it is water proof - it really isn't. You will come out of that ocean swim or jump out of the pool only to find that you are covered no more! Not only that, but your swimmers may have foundation smudges all over them, take it from me I know this from personal experience.

At night time it is a whole different ball game.  With the right lighting of restaurants and bars and even your friends house you can totally get away with this make up. It is even awesome for giving you a very flawless looking cleavage. Put on a push up bra and some of this make up, don't forget the setting powder and make sure you don't wear white!

I want to hear from you, have you used Dermablend to cover stretch marks? Have you used any other type of make-up or product that produced a desirable effect?

Dermablend Suppliers

I have bought my Dermablend cover from a store and also online. For dermablend, I found the best deals to be found at Drugstore.com, however I did get it from Amazon once when I needed it in a hurry (same day shipping). I also found it on Ebay for a great deal, but you can't always find exactly what you want.

I bought a sample kit of dermablend but i’m having trouble as to HOW i actually apply it onto my stretch marks. I have about six 2-inch lines on my shoulders and every time i try to apply the makeup it just never looks nice. Is their a way you show us how to apply it? The simple steps dermablend.com doesn’t help me out at all.

I usually apply it to my hips and I just put layers on, let it dry and then set it with powder (any transparent mineral powder will do) On some places it works great and on others it is not as convincing, that is why I mention it being a solution better for the night time. You can always notice any make up in the full light of day!

I use dermablend – the body cover one on my thighs and it does a pretty good job. You just have to be careful to set it properly before you go and put your swim suit or clothes on so you don’t have it rub off on them

I don’t have too many stretch marks but they pail in comparison to the huge keloid scar I have on my shoulder. Since my keloid scar is getting flatter thanks to the cortisone injections I have been getting and the weather is getting warmer, I really want to wear pretty tops with my shoulders showing and singlets etc. It is hard to find makeup to conceal the scar, I have been using dermablend and it does the job its just that I can’t find a color that matches seemlessly with my skin. I am about to buy my 4th shade of dermablend so hopefully I will have luck mixing up a color that matches lol!
